This year’s event was the first time we have been to the southern hemisphere in the 12 years this event has been running, and it was great to see so many local engineers participating from the local OEMs and Tier 1s.
Ethernovia’s Chris Mash led this year’s Program Committee made up of technical experts from the global automotive OEMs, Tier 1s and partners, resulting in two days of interesting presentations covering several new topics.
The highlight of the event was the workshop hosted by Dr Robert Metcalfe, the co-inventor of Ethernet. During the workshop, Dr Metcalfe explained the history of how Ethernet came about and how it successfully replaced the proprietary networking technologies at the time.
During the conference, we had numerous meetings with the global OEMs and Tier 1s while our technical team gave two presentations covering Software and advanced Architecture topics. These presentations will be available shortly on the IEEE website (https://standards.ieee.org/events/automotive/)
Looking forward to next year’s event!
